At Lulu’s Barn, our Alpacas & Cupcakes experience offers a unique Maine farm visit where guests can relax under the tent with friendly alpacas while enjoying handmade gourmet cupcakes and sparkling water. This one-hour alpaca experience is perfect for couples, friends, birthdays, girls’ outings, family visits, and anyone looking for fun things to do in Maine. For $30 per person, guests enjoy a handcrafted cupcake made with love by Daphne Cromwell, sparkling water, and the chance to hand-feed our alpacas sliced apples. The alpacas love gentle interaction and will happily eat apples right from your hand, making this a memorable and photo-worthy barn experience. Alpacas & Cupcakes visits are available by appointment for groups of two or more, depending on availability. We love helping guests create a custom experience at the barn and are happy to arrange a date and time that works for your group. Is this experience good for kids and families?
We love welcoming families! Because our alpacas are sensitive animals who can startle easily, we recommend this experience for children 8 and older — it makes for a much calmer, more magical visit for everyone. Couples, birthday groups, and girls' outings are always a hit too. It's one of the most unique and memorable things to do in Midcoast Maine.
Where are you located?
We're at 389 Main Road on Westport Island, Maine — just a short scenic drive from Wiscasset. The island is beautiful and the barn is easy to find.
What is your cancellation policy?
Because we prepare everything fresh and specifically for your group, we aren't able to offer refunds. That said, if you reach out at least 48 hours before your visit, we're happy to reschedule based on what works for everyone.
Can I bring a larger group?
Yes — we love groups! Alpacas & Cupcakes visits are for two or more guests. Just get in touch and we'll figure out the best date and setup for your group size.
