Restorative Yoga

RESTORATIVE YOGA BASICS with Janet Thompson, Tuesday, May 10 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 PM.

Restorative yoga builds on principles of careful alignment.

As part of each class we will practice how to safely enter and come out of restorative poses in a way that is least jarring to the back body and the neck, and with a minimum of stress on lower back muscles.

All of the poses will include the use of multiple props.  For that reason, the class is limited to 5 participants.
$25 (no class cards)

YOGA BASICS for All
Mondays at 5:00 PM
This is an excellent opportunity for newcomers to discover what yoga is all about, and for those seeking to refresh or deepen their practice. Drawing on several classical traditions, this class will offer a variety of asana and movements to guide students in a fully integrated Hatha practice.  Classes will include deep stretching and exercises to enhance flexibility and range of motion, as well as practice transitions and holds to increase stability and strength.  Classes will offer a variety of seated, prone, standing, balancing, inverted, and twisting postures, and may focus from time to time on a certain one for a better understanding of technique, alignment, modifications, and benefits.  Sessions begin with centering, end with guided meditation, and integrate pranayama throughout.  This class is 75 minutes.
